Drop Front Wheelchair Trousers - Jersey
After discussions with Occupational Therapists and carers, and careful customer testing to get them just right, we came up with this clever original and practical design which, over the years since we first introduced it, has become one of our best-selling ideas.
These trousers have a fold-down front that allows easy access to catheters, bottles and continence products, and the opening is concealed behind what looks like pockets. The drop front is securely fastened with Velcro, which we show in white only for contrast so that it can be seen in the photograph. When fastened these look just like ordinary trousers, but they can be opened down past the hips for ease of continence management by the wearer or carer.
Suitable for men or women, these trousers are in our wonderful wheelchair cut - higher at the back with shaped seat for a comfortable fit and no gaps at the waist, slightly lower at the front waistband for comfort and longer legs. Please do not confuse these with cheap copies which are not properly cut for wheelchair wear.
These trouser are especially beneficial to men who have the use of only one arm, permitting independence in personal care as they can be managed easily with either hand.
This page has the cotton rich jersey drop fronts with warm brushed lining, but they are also available in 98% cotton lighter weight for summer wear.
