Stretch cord drop front wheelchair trousers

Our Price: £43.00
Khaki and navy cord in stock - please use the drop down list below to select items for purchase.

Our stretch cord trousers are unbelievably popular, and when combined with the convenience of the drop fronts they are just the perfect wheelchair trousers - smart, comfortable stretch cord in attractive colours and the convenience of easy dressing - even if lying flat -  and simple access to catheters and stomas - plus the comfort for stoma users of an adjustable waistband.

These really are lovely trousers and it's no wonder they are so popular with our customers.  We stopped selling them during the warmer months, but we are now stocking them year round, as they are so popular that many customers phoned to ask when they would be available again.

They wash like a dream too, but do remember to turn them outside in to protect the pile in the wash.  Stretch gently to get them back into shape after washing and pop them in the tumble drier.

As I said, these are the perfect wheelchair trousers, and this year they are available once again in the popular khaki shade, plus a smart navy blue.

Please bear in mind that wheelchair trousers should generally be worn at anything between 2" and 3" longer than when standing.

Please ensure that someone else measures you, and you are measured sitting in your chair, not lying flat.

It is better to be measured in the afternoon, when your body has settled down into your chair. Accurate measurements are particularly important when orders are being sent outside the UK.

Please note that men's trousers are sold by waist size and women's by hip size.

CHEST
Fleece garments such as cape and ponchos are roomy and are an approximate size.

S/M is approximately 34-42" chest
L/XL is approximtely 43/50" chest

Fleece jackets are sized as shown on the site page

WAIST
The waist is measured around the natural waistline, and trousers are supplied to fit this measurement.

HIP
The hips are measured by putting the measuring tape around the hips, just where the person's seat meets the cushion of the chair, and brought across the front of the lap at the end of the hips..  This gives a diagonal hip measurment.

LEG LENGTH
It is important to remember that trousers worn when seated should have a leg length approximately 4" longer than when standing.  For this reason it is important not to order for wheelchair wear the same length as previously worn when standing and walking.  Trousers will be supplied hemmed at 33" and 35" and unhemmed for you to have hemmed to the length you prefer.  We can supply them hemmed and ready to wear at other lengths for a small hemming fee.  Trousers supplied longer than 35" will have to be made to order and a special measure charge will apply.

SOCKS AND SLIPPERS
Even if you have oedema please request the size you would normally have bought, as these products have been specially sized to fit.

GLOVES
Please download the size charge and place your hand on it to ascertain the size you require.

WATERPROOFS
Chest sizes apply unless otherwise shown.

For the pull-on cosytoes snug the S/M is appropriate for someone up to a height of 5'5" and thereafter the L/XL should be selected.  For anyone who is very tall, over 6'2" please contact us.
